FAA ISSUES 2013 RANDOM DRUG AND ALCOHOL TESTING PERCENTAGE RATES
Today, FAA published the Random Drug and Alcohol Testing Percentage Rates of Covered Aviation Employees for January 1, 2013 through December 31, 2013. The FAA has determined that the minimum random drug and alcohol testing percentage rates will remain at 25 % of safety-sensitive employees for random drug testing and 10 % of safety-sensitive employees for random alcohol testing.

Today, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the Pipeline and Hazardous Material Safety Administration (PHMSA) issued an Advisory Notice extending the compliance deadline for air carrier hazardous materials (HAZMAT) passenger notification requirements. The Advisory Notice extends the deadline to a date no earlier than January 1, 2014.
