FEDERAL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION (FAA) DRAFT ADVISORY CIRCULAR FOR USE OF FORM 8130-3 FOR APPROVAL FOR RETURN TO SERVICE UNDER PART 43
The FAA has issued a Draft Advisory Circular (AC) for use of FAA Form 8130-3 for Approval for Return to Service Under Part 43. Comments on this draft AC are due March 13, 2017.
Purpose. This AC discusses the procedures for the use of FAA Form 8130-3, Authorized Release Certificate, Airworthiness Approval Tag, for approval for return to service under Title 14 of the Code of Federal Regulations (14 CFR) part 43 and describes an acceptable means of use for the form. Use of the form in accordance with the means described in the AC means that it must be followed in all important respects. When used for return to service, the form, including copies of the form, may be provided to the owner/operator or any others who require copies of maintenance records as prescribed by the applicable CFRs.
